Jia Ing

Jia Ing - Podiatrist

Jia Ing completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine course in 2018 at the University of Western Australia, after completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Science. Jia was born and raised in Malaysia before moving to Perth in 2013. Since graduating she has worked in different private clinics in Singapore, Brisbane, and Sydney, and now has nearly 6 years of experience working as a Podiatrist.

Jia has gained extensive skills and knowledge in the treatment and management of lower limb conditions. She loves helping patients to get back on their happy feet and finds this very rewarding. She strongly believes it is important to understand patients’ concerns and provide a thorough and holistic approach or tailored treatment plan to them, as every patient is unique and different.

Jia is passionate about helping her patients to improve their foot conditions by utilising a combination of therapies and techniques. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry (general foot care and diabetic foot assessment), but has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions (especially heel pain such as plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy), prescription of custom orthotics and footwear education. Jia has had also training in the use of SWIFT microwave wart therapy, shockwave therapy and low level laser therapy for treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

Over the last 6 years, Jia has attended numerous conferences and events to continuously update her knowledge and skills, ensuring that she is able to provide the most up to date and evidence-based treatments to her clients.

While not at work, Jia enjoys catching up with friends, doing pilates, and she is a lover of coffee. Chat with her about your coffee recommendations if you are a coffee lover too! Jia is also a traveller, and loves to explore the world with her family.

Jia speaks Mandarin and Malay as well.

Sarah Kearney

Sarah Kearney - Podiatrist

I graduated from Queen Margaret university Edinburgh in 2014. Since graduating I have worked in Ireland and New Zealand as a podiatrist. I have experience in many different areas including shockwave therapy, foot mobilisation, ingrown toenail, corn and calluses, warts and biomechanics.

I have a keen interest in all aspects of podiatry especially the treatment of ingrown toenails both conservatively and surgically. In my spare time I love going to the gym, reading and travelling.

Adrian Dawson

Adrian Dawson- PodiatristAdrian is passionate about helping people return to movement. He is particularly skilled at identifying and addressing problematic areas to speed up your recovery and leave you with lasting results. Adrian feels that podiatry is a very rewarding career, and loves seeing patients achieving milestones and attaining their goals. With close to 10 years of private practise experience, Adrian possesses magnificent attention to detail and extensive clinical knowledge of feet and their stressors. He brings unique expertise to the team at Cambridge Podiatry, with a variety of treatment tools and techniques at his disposal, that is able to be tailored towards each individual. During your appointment, rest assured that Adrian will educate you on your foot health, to ensure that you have a clear understanding of your condition and approach going forward.

Adrian’s main area of interest lies in biomechanics. This excitement stems from years of playing sport and recreational activities including netball, basketball, long-distance running and obstacle course racing.

Together with being a podiatrist, Adrian also completed a course in custom footwear design with RMIT and has hand-made multiple shoes from scratch. On a personal note, Adrian enjoys taking Yoga classes, cooking and reading. Adrian consults in Wembley, Balcatta and Mt Hawthorn.

Grace Wan

Grace Wan- Podiatrist Grace graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2018. She graduated with Distinction and was awarded the Dean’s Prize in Podiatric Medicine, which is a prize awarded to the graduating student with the highest course weighted average mark. Whilst studying, Grace completed clinical placements in Perth (ArchRite Podiatry, Bentley Health Service, Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital) and Singapore (East Coast Podiatry, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital). Prior to this, Grace also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2015 specialising in a Biomedical Science double major (Pathology and Laboratory Medicine) from the same university.

Grace has gained valuable experience working in both private and public health sectors in Perth and Singapore. Since graduating, she has completed further training and is skilled in providing dry needling, electroacupuncture, joint mobilisation, Swift therapy, and shock wave therapy. Grace also provides general podiatry services such as routine nail care, removal of corns and calluses, fungal nail and skin treatment, wart treatment, orthotic therapy (custom and off-the-shelf), and footwear education. She continues to expand her knowledge by regularly attending professional development seminars on topics such as podiatric surgery, advancements in orthotic prescription and footwear, medical grade footwear prescription, optimisation of running biomechanics, barefoot rehabilitation, and cancer rehabilitation.

Grace has a keen interest in all aspects of podiatry, especially in the treatment of ingrown toenails (conservative and surgical), musculoskeletal conditions (e.g. Morton’s neuromas, heel pain, Achilles tendinopathy, etc.), and the management of patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes (via neurovascular assessments and comprehensive education for the prevention or management of associated foot complications). Having experience working in hospitals, Grace is also proficient in the management of high-risk feet in patients with diabetes, renal disease, and other conditions that may cause peripheral vascular impairment.

In her spare time, Grace enjoys keeping fit, indoor rock-climbing, and visiting local cafes and farmer’s markets. Grace would love to assist you with any podiatric needs and will strive to help you achieve your treatment goals.

Michelle Chi

Michelle Chi- PodiatristMichelle graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine in 2011 from the University of Western Australia. During her studies she completed clinical podiatry placements in community health, public hospitals and private clinic settings. She has been a podiatrist now for nearly 10 years, working in private clinics. She loves being a part of the community and helping patients.

Michelle is proficient in all aspects of general podiatry including treatment of unmanageable toenails (e.g. thick toenails, fungal toenails, ingrown toenails) as well as corn & callus removal. She has completed further training in dry needling, mobilisation, Swift therapy for warts and Shockwave therapy. Michelle treats foot and ankle pain including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis and forefoot pain e.g. neuroma’s & bursitis. She uses evidence based medicine and can arrange for custom orthotics when required.

Michelle keeps up to date with advances in the podiatry field with continued professional development seminars. The sessions cover practical aspects of podiatry including orthotic prescription, barefoot exercises and podiatric surgery. She also attends yearly conferences held by Diabetes WA to update her knowledge of the diabetic foot.

Michelle enjoys all aspects of podiatry including general treatment (toenails, corns & calluses), foot & ankle pain, ingrown toenail surgery, orthotic prescriptionand wart treatment. She loves getting to know her patients and help them achieve pain free feet. Michelle can also speak Mandarin to assist patients where needed.

Aside from work, Michelle enjoys spending time at the park with her baby daughter, and going to Melbourne to visit her twin sister.

Kira Critchley (Podiatrist)

Kira has moved into a full-time management role and will be working behind the scenes developing our business and podiatrists. We will let you know if she returns to clinical work at any point. In the mean-time Kira highly recommends any of our wonderful podiatrists at Cambridge Podiatry.

Sarah Beiers (Receptionist)

Sarah Beiers

Sarah is one of our receptionists at our Cambridge Podiatry Clinic, she is a recent High School graduate who is now currently attending Tafe for Light Metal Fabrication, she aims to work on machinery up in the mines within the next few years. Sarah spends her free time snorkelling, surfing or walking along the coast during Summer.

 She adores her two year old cat and is always happy to hear about patients fur-babies.

Teresa White (Receptionist)

Teresa White - Receptionist Teresa has been a receptionist with us since the beginning! Although only officially starting with us in November, many would have seen her friendly face for a long time before that while she was with the Physio.

Outside of work, Teresa loves gardening, reading her favourite books, catching up with her friends & most of all, spending time with her granddaughter.

Teresa enjoys talking to all the patients who come into our clinic, taking the time to get to know our patients is high on her list, as well as working with our close knit team to help people as much as possible!

Taylah (Receptionist)

Taylah Page Taylah is one of our lovely Receptionists here at Cambridge Podiatry. She loves a good chat and is always happy to lend a helping hand. Since moving to Perth a few years ago Taylah has completed her Bachelor’s degree at UWA and settled into Perth life. When Taylah isn’t working she loves to go out to her local coffee shops, grab some good food and socialise. She also loves to be outside and taking care of her plants, so feel free to talk everything plants with her!
